candi is a dedicated rooftop solar company for SMEs across Asia and Africa. They bring together international capital, through Swiss-based founders, and local expertise in order to provide a unique offering to this underserved sector. In so doing candi aims to have a big social impact, reduce carbon emissions, create jobs, increase energy access, and save money for small businesses in emerging markets.

Job Summary

The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Marketing Manager, who will help candi to lead the revolution of solar for SMEs. Given that candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking.

Location

South Africa, Johannesburg/flexible. Remote working possible.

Hours

Full time preferred, part-time considered for experienced candidates.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 yrs of experience within digital & offline marketing, preferably for B2B-focused start-ups
  • Hone & improve the candi brand (visual aesthetic)
  • Ensuring candi is effectively targeting the SME client base in our markets of operation
  • Develop effective marketing materials (online & offline)
  • Manage ongoing digital marketing projects with external agency(s), both in South Africa and abroad, including budget management
  • SEO
  • Executing marketing events with local trade associations, chambers of commerce, and/ or other relevant SME membership organisations to further candi’s brand recognition
  • Enhance digital marketing footprint of candi (SoMe)
  • Ensure press hits & PR for candi (trade & retail press)- preferably with experience or PR contacts from within the renewable energy space
  • Website maintenance & updates
  • Building strategic partnerships through external sales channels
