During the due diligence of potential investments, Vincent and his team assess the maturity of the company’s tech stack, the value of its IP, and ensure that technology risks and opportunities are well understood by the investment team.
Vincent has worked and lived in Sub-Saharan Africa for the last 12 years. He co-founded two companies in the tech and energy sector, worked with the World Bank as a private-sector development consultant and held several technology leadership positions, as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer.
A passionate and avid learner, Vincent trained as an Engineer and Economist. He holds Master degrees in Computer Science (ENSTA), Economics (Science-Po Paris) and Philosophy (Sorbonne University). He also holds an Mphil in Development Studies (London School of Economics) and a PhD in Management Sciences.

Mia von Koschitzky-Kimani is part of the Advisory Board and Investment Committee at Persistent after having been a Partner at Persistent previously. Mia is also a Partner and COO at Future Africa, an early stage VC fund focused on tech investments across Africa. Previously, Mia was with the Boston Consulting Group building up their Johannesburg office as well as their Sub-Saharan Consumer and Retail Practice where she led projects across the African continent. Mia subsequently founded her own company, DukaConnect, building an AI based point of sale product for micro-retailers across Africa. In 2018, she sold the company to MasterCard where she worked for a year integrating the team and product into the MasterCard organization and leading their overall micro-retail innovation efforts. Mia holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor degree from the University of St. Gallen.
