Through affordable solar home systems, upOwa provides access to clean energy for people who live with no access to the national grid in Cameroon. In December 2023, upOwa was acquired by Électricité de France (EDF). Persistent had been one of upOwa’s earliest investors in 2017 and continued to support Oolu up until the close of the transaction.
