Persistent Wishes everyone a Joyful Holiday Season and a Prosperous 2026

December 14, 2025

As we close out 2025, we look back with gratitude on a year defined by progress, resilience, and renewed momentum across Persistent and our partner companies. This year marked an important step towards building the Persistent Africa Climate Venture Builder Fund, a fund designed to scale early-stage climate innovation across Africa through capital investment and Persistent’s hands-on Venture Building. We continue to strengthen the foundation for this next phase of our journey and are excited about the possibilities ahead.

Throughout the year, we also deepened our advisory work across several mandates, including the Energy Entrepreneurs Growth Fund (EEGF) and GET.invest’s Finance Readiness Support, which enabled us to support a diverse set of locally owned climate businesses. These partnerships continue to play an essential role in expanding access to capital, strengthening business capabilities, and accelerating the broader climate ecosystem in Africa.

As always, our partner companies remain at the heart of our mission. In the spirit of celebration and reflection, we share a few highlights from across our portfolio.

  • Altech: Altech continued expanding its clean energy and e-mobility operations across the DRC and advanced its clean cooking assembly efforts. The company strengthened energy access across its regions of operation.
  • Beacon Power Services (BPS): BPS expanded its utility partnerships from five to twelve utilities and enhanced deployment of its utility software for grid visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Candi Solar: Candi secured 24 million dollars in additional investment from existing investors, bringing its total capital raised to over 140 million dollars, and progressed toward closing a major debt facility with IFC.
  • Econetix: Econetix completed a 4.5 million Euro seed round, expanded its team, and advanced its carbon and ESG project portfolio across Africa, Europe, and the MENA region
  • Ecobodaa; Ecobodaa continued to advance electric mobility in Kenya, scaling its Safiri pay-as-you-go energy platform and launching its Gen 2 electric motorbike.

To our shareholders, partners, colleagues, and friends, we send our warmest wishes for a peaceful holiday season and a successful year ahead.

The Persistent Team
