PEG Africa provides solar home systems on credit to households in West Africa. With ‘pay-as-you-go’ financing, they enable customers to replace their perpetual spending on poor-quality polluting fuels. In 2022, PEG was acquired by BBOXX, a leading distributed power company and platform in Africa. Persistent had been part of PEG’s growth story from the start, being it’s first investor and seeing the company raise a $25M Series C in 2019 and ultimately be acquired.
